In the next life, I want my soul split in two, so's I can be a stick of fruit stripe and a tongue tattoo.
And, I’ll name you Mulder. And, you, E. Brown. And, you File-o-fox. And, you… Mulder II.
Finn is made of Soul, ice, and shadows. With a dash of GAME OVER.
Rae is made of ice, enemies, and partnership. With a dash of DANGER ZONE.
Kate is made of tea, erasers, and Mother Nature. With a dash of T-REX.
A little magic with our Irish Coffee (at Buena Vista Cafe)
This guy is the next great American novel protagonist. Someone write him; I can’t.
A hard day deserves a hard coffee.
I didn’t know John Bender’s dad was Ronald Reagan.
See this picture? This comes from a town in Canada where a 24 pack of water bottles is 104 dollars and formula milk for a baby is priced at 55 dollars a pack. What’s more, a pack of diapers is 95 dollars and one head of lettuce is 26 dollars. Inuit people are starving in a country known for it’s generosity.
If you don’t believe this is true, you can find more images like this here. This is the only grocery store these people have in their small towns, and many people are going hungry & elderly are dying faster.
You’ll send aid to foreign children that are starving, so why won’t you pay a little extra to feed the people in your own country who work hard & still can’t afford the prices for healthy food for their families?
Please have a heart and reblog this photo to raise awareness that even in our own countries people are starving, join the movement and show the government that we won’t sit by and watch people starve.
If you think this will make your blog ugly you’re wrong. Children in a first world country are getting sick & starving, and nobody is even aware it’s happening. You can let people know by reblogging and showing you care. People I am close to, my friends and future in-laws are going through this.
Love how little attention this post gets from my beach blog followers.
If you think anyone in Canada cares at all about people living up North, you’d be wrong.
This is the funniest shit I’ve seen in a long time. Michael Shannon does a public service by lending his formidable dramatic chops to an epic sorority girl tirade.
14 yr-old Olive Oatman was a Mormon girl whose parents and four siblings were bludgeoned to death by Yavapai tribesmen after refusing to give up their dwindling supplies on a pilgrimage to California. One brother was left for dead but survived, while Olive and her 7-yr old sister were taken as slaves. After a year of mistreatment with the Yavapai, she and her sister were sold to the Mohave people whom, by most accounts, treated them as their own. Olive’s sister died of starvation during a famine, but Olive was kept alive with a hidden store of food from her adoptive Mohave mother. She was also given the tribal tattoos seen in the photo above, which Olive later claimed were meant to mark her as a captive; an inconsistency, as the chin markings were worn by all the Mohave women to bring happiness in the afterlife. While she may have been intimidated, it would seem that she was never strictly prohibited from leaving the tribe. When Olive was nineteen, her return was requested by the authorities, and she was ransomed back to the whites to be rejoined with her surviving brother, Lorenzo. At the time, she appeared to be aggrieved to be leaving the Mohaves. Shortly thereafter, a pastor named Stratton ghostwrote an account of her abduction with added salacious details that vilified and degraded the Mohave people, although Olive would declare her affection for them throughout the years. On an odd side note, from an article about “The Blue Tattoo,” Olive had been given the nickname “Spantsa” by the Mohave, which means “rotwomb” or “sore vagina.” According to one expert on Mohave culture, “the name indicates that she was very sexually active.” Let it be noted that Olive publicly stated that she and her sister had never been sexually violated by either tribe.
Could look at Theda Bara photos for hours.
